Because I had to bring work for our Duo exhibition in Katwijk, we were in nearby Noordwijk for a few days. It is always difficult to plan, because you just have to hope that the weather will cooperate. But luckily it did ;-). A bit windy and busy with people, but I was able to work wonderfully. This Paintbox painting was also born there...

Took the chance to paint for a few days in Noordwijkerhout, it was really chilly and the wind was blowing pretty hard. But luckily I have my little pochade and I could still paint wonderfully in the shelter of the car. The way people react en masse to the fields seems to get crazier and crazier every year. No one seems to know how not to walk between the balls.

Working at Landgoed Dorth with finally a lovely sun again :-). It is really chilly, but with the sun in my face and this wonderful view it is easy to keep up. "Sun", what a joy in winter when the sun shows itself for a while. Even with 3 degrees it feels like summer in your heart...The fields are colored, the ochres now have the upper hand. Today I also fell in love for the old plant remains who are waiting for the new season. The sturdy silhouette of the cow parsley still waves in the wind.

There is no snow at this moment like in February 2021, but what is not can always come. I can't ski myself, but the ski suit is already ready in my car :-). I would like to thank everyone for all the support, the many purchases, heartwarming reactions online and in real life!

It was cold, frosty and foggy, but it was lovely. Well packed against the cold it was good to be outside. There is a frosty layer on the reed and the heavy gray world makes it even more special. That is why I can be found again and again at de Berkel, because nature is always so diverse...

My little snow wish from the day before came true ;-) Today there is a little bit. But I have to be very quick, because it is a very thin layer. With my things on my back I start walking further and further into the forest...
As a full time plein air artist I work in all weather conditions and seasons. My work is recognizable by the thick layers of paint and the firm brushstroke. So I have some demands on my painting gear and brushes. That I would love to share that with you!

Hike & Paint might be the best way to keep fit ;-), but with my new U.GO 6"x 8" (small) it's really great! I now only have a tiny backpack with all my stuff on my back and that broadens the field of work even more...
